Taiwan film director protests dismantling of aborigines' houses

In my view, original hosts are aborigines, not Taiwanese which we call now. We are from China long time ago. Now the government want to dismantle aborigines' houses. At the beginning, I am so anger because I think aborigines are expelled,and in the history, people always did such things. At that time, they had no choice, and they should obey this policy. We shouldn't do this. In Taiwan, aborigines have few opportunities to educate owing to their romate houses. In addition, they also get few educational resource, and to their adults, it's hard to get jobs.
Originally, I consider now no one prejudices them, but I am wrong. To some people, they still have this prejudice in private. I don't realize why it is so difficult to receive other races?

Phenomenon in Taiwan

On Firday, my boss' wife chatted with me. We talked about the phenomenon in Taiwan. That is, the university students are hard to find jobs. She told me that in their time, they had more opportunities to get jobs if they wanted to do. However, now it's totally different than before. More and more people want to get better jobs and get high salaries as they expect on account of their high educational background. She thinks now the university students are as the same as senior students of their time in the society. When I heard her words, I think we need to start to check our attitude toward everything.

I feel that I always need to catch up with much work. However, approaching to the end of this semester, there is more and more work to do. I am looking forward having days off. CNN Sharks

This week, I watched news. CNN, they came to Taiwan to shoot sharks killed in Taiwan. I am so surprised. I remembered that the government announced that they would legislate against hunting sharks when the International appeals not to hunt because of the extinction. Although the government announced next year the enactment would be work out at that moment, now it is ironic. CNN, they want to report it for a week. It is not good for Taiwan because Taiwan is one of these countries to hunt sharks. The same point between Japan, Taiwan, and China is that we do not legislate against hunting sharks, so this action is not illegal. I do hope that the government pays much attention.

The Botanical Garden

On Friday, I went to the botanical garden in Hsinchu with Martina. The trees are huge, and there are so many plants in there. I live in Hsinchu, but I didn’t go there before. We had a good time. There are three greenhouses; however, they are not kept well because some plants are dead. At the beginning, I think the botanical garden fits tourism, but actually, few people go there, and some trees collapsed. In my opinion, it is a good place for families and couples.

Guy/Lesbian Right

I am not sure that this is correct or not. In my opinion, there are two reasons why they do not receive the concept or do not want to know about guys/lesbian. First, they do not get much information about this, and in old time, no one was willing to admit that they are guys or lesbians, so that no one will investigate this affair. Second, my parents or my grandpa/ma think they are “abnormal” because they consider that they who are guys or lesbians must make a big mistake in their pre-existence according to their belief and their traditional concept.

Now, in my view, we have learned how to respect different people, so most of us can take them as ordinary people. I hope they can be treated with respect, and the government enacts the regulations to protect them because they do not do something wrong. They are just different in an area.

The article was in 2004, and the issue also discussed in 2004. Until now, there are no any changes in Taiwan. I hope the government can enact the regulation to allow their marriage. In my view, love of guys or lesbians is not less than normal lovers. They cherish their relationship because it is hard to find. In addition, they can't bear babies, so they can choose to adopt children if they want. I think they will support and take care of them well because they like children vey much.

Maybe you will worry that their sexual orientation will be affected. However, people do not want their children to go the same road because the process is very hard to get identification, and therefore I'd rather believe they will tell their children the “normal” idea. Allowing their marriage is not bad idea because it is another method to solve the problem of the children abandoned.

Morning Glory

In recent years, the weather is hard to predict. Kenya, it is a hot place, and it doesn't snow. However, it snows now. The weather in the world is disordered. In addition, it's hotter than before this summer in Japan. They want to decrease the temperature, so they plant the morning glory. I'm so surprised because I only know that the morning glory was used to dye when my parents were children. In Japan, they plant the morning glory massively this summer. The morning glory can grow up about 30 cm at one night, so that it just needs few days, and it can reach the standard that you want in summer. It can evaporate the moisture, so that it is very useful to decrease the temperature.

Maybe we can take account of planting morning glory next summer because I consider in Taiwan, summer is also hotter and hotter. In my view, it's a good idea, isn't it?

The Dentist

Recently, my sister goes to see a dentist because of her decayed teeth. However, today the dentist warns my sister of her decayed teeth getting worse, so the dentist suggests my sister start to use the dental floss to keep her teeth from increasing bacteria. In addition, he also suggests my sister change her toothbrush into smaller toothbrush because it can help you brush the teeth inside easily. We go to a drugstore to choose the toothbrush that the dentist described. Finally, we only find the toothbrush which fits that one. That is baby toothbrush. It is so cute and so small. It is hard to imagine that my sister uses her big hand to hold a small toothbrush to clean her teeth. Undergoing this event, I must pay more attention to my teeth because I hate going to see a dentist. It is a nightmare.

Student

What should a university student do during their free time? I usually wonder about this question. Actually, I ask my friends, and their answers are the same. It's ‘PLAY’. Maybe the answer is the best; however, I want to know how they think of their studies? I don't think I am that person who do play well and also study well, so I chose to study more, and next is ‘play’. I know what kind person I want to be; therefore, I don't regret it. I realize everyone cares different things, but I really don't understand why they give their studies up? Many children in the world don't go to school due to no money and no resources. They long to do what we take for granted. In contrast, we are lucky In Taiwan. Is there a problem in Taiwan? I think the answer is yes.

Goods

Recently I watched TV program. It talked that the goods would be need in the earthquake. It develops very well in Japan. There are many goods that we never see in Taiwan even if Taiwan and Japan are both the countries where the earthquakes occur often. I think the earthquakes are more severe than Taiwan, so that the goods develop very well.

On the other hand, I consider the goods in Taiwan should be more. In fact, Japanese use papers that are thick well. They make papers into houses which can load with 20 centimeters and stools. They are good at using thick papers. In addition, they also invent flashlights and radio without electricity. You must think how they work? It's very easy. The electricity is from your hand. It has two ways. One is to use batteries. Another is to turn your hand around. It’s very convenient especially in the earthquakes or natural disasters.

Medical Testing

1. In my view, it is justified and necessary because it's harmful to human beings if it is without medical testing. In addition, it is no doubt that animal testing has led to many medical breakthroughs. I know it's so mean but think deeply that it is really necessary because who wants to be that person who has to receive medical testing. Neither you nor I want to be that person. Testing on the animals is not good idea, but I think one day we will find another way to replace. It just needs time.


3. In my opinion, it's so mean. To animals, they have the right to survive, and they don't have duties to test for human beings. Human beings don't care that how the animals feel because the animals don't speak out their feelings. On the other hand, many people use cosmetics often even every day, so that many companies want to develop the cosmetics. It can bring much money for the companies. If the human beings really have to use the cosmetics, I think we can develop the cosmetics that made from natural materials such as plants and flower. Even if that kind of the cosmetics is used without testing, it's less harmful to human beings. If it's really harmful, I consider there are only few people, and their symptoms maybe are allergic. Maybe someone will say that kind of the cosmetics is more expensive, but in my view, it's a best way not only for human beings but for animals.

Hunting Whales

In my opinion, hunting animals is not good for environment because the action harms the ecosystem. At the beginning, they who have whales don't control and don't think it's harmful to our environment. In Japan, it is a general action. In addition, I know there are many people have them in Taiwan. When the weather is getting worse, and the animals become extinct, people start to take ecosystem seriously. In my opinion, the action should be not allowed even though somebody feels pity. If we don't stop this action, maybe our descendants won’t see it anymore.


In the other hand, I don't understand why Japanese don't quit this habit? When many nations promote that stop hunting extinct animals, they still want to find another excuse to rationalize their wrong behavior. If they really can't quit, I think they should keep them in their nation instead of hunting in the ocean. Maybe it is not good idea, but we don’t have the right to judge their behavior even though we know their purpose on the surface is just an excuse.

Electric water bags sold in Taiwan all unqualified

I'm so surprised because the electric water bags are used generally. In winter, when I was senior high, many of us used electric water bag to keep us warm. The position of our senor school is higher than other schools, so there are many students with electric water bags in winter. When the cold current comes, more students would want to buy electric water bags.

In addition, about the girls' menstruation, if you feel uncomfortable, the teacher will give this to mitigate your pain. I think every family will have one if there are children, girls or old men. But now the electric water bags sold in Taiwan are unqualified. It is very awful. Even though the seller will be fined, in my opinion, it is also not practiced well. In night marking or vendor, there are still sell the goods because people really need them. Who wants to do that? Maybe nobody wants to do. If I see the vendors sell the goods, I don't call to police because I don't have evidence that they are illegal.

Can or can’t

I like the lyrics of this song. It conveys that we are the same. Even though our colors of skin are different or have different ideas, nations and so on, it’s no doubt that we live on the earth. One day do we calm down to handle everything between us instead of having argument and speaking words to hurt people? When I turn on TV, I don’t want to watch the news of political figures fighting all the time or guys killing guys. I wish these events will disappear on day. Above all, we get along with each other well, and we should be together to make the world wonderful. I do hope it will become true in the future.

Committing suicide

Recently, when we turn on TV or read the newspaper, there are many sad events in the world. Guys kill guys owing to little events; political figures are arguing or fighting for different issues, or many young guys committed suicide for relationship. When I read the events of relationship, I feel very sad. They are so young. Their parents and friends heard of this. Why are they so surprised and unbelievable? Their parents and friends always don’t understand what happened to the person. The person looks so happy in front of the mass, but don’t we really figure out what they think? I don’t think so. Modern people are too busy to pay more attention to those people who are close to you. If you are really busy, please take time out even just one minute, or you call a phone to express your care. When you talk to him/her, maybe you will make him/her have courage to face or overcome hard time. In the society, many people consider they are unhappy because of the bad economy, no jobs, high living cost and so on. It’s hard time, but if we support each other, it’s not harder than we image.

Seesaw

Life is like walking on the seesaw.


You always have to walk from bottom to top. You take one step, and the next will become more difficult.



You walk to higher place, and you will feel hard to balance.


When you think you walk higher and higher, actually you start to go downhill.



Accordingly, you find you can’t stand on the higher place in your eyes forever.



Struggling back and forth so many times, you realize standing on higher place is so difficult because you can’t keep your balance all the time.



Finally, one day you realize that you keep your balance in your journey, and it is the high place where you stand.



If you want to stand on the higher place, there is another way. That’s somebody supports you on the lower place of the seesaw. Maybe those people are your family, lover or enemies who are loser.




In our journey, most of them want to walk to the higher place because we think it means we succeed. We fail again and again because we don’t realize the ideas of seesaw. It makes me think of the former president. He wants to stand at higher place, but he forgets what happens next. When I undergo more events, success or not is not important in my mind. I find out when a person grows up, he/ she will become unhappier because his/her desires are more, and you have to be responsible for many duties even though you don’t want to take. So far I don’t want to look for the higher place. I just want to be happier than before.

Global warming

On Saturday, I saw a TV program. It talked about animals. So far many animals face extinction. In South America or tropical rainforest, this action will be serious and appear other animals we never know before. More and more biologists find that common animals become mutation such as frogs, and the penguins don’t find right way to go home this year. It is worse phenomenon because it means the weather is changing.

In addition, many places that originally are oases become deserts, and its rainfall is lower than before in China. If we don’t change the condition, maybe one day the creatures that become extinct will be us.

Animal Rights

2. This news was posted in 2007, but most of us don’t know this enactment. Actually, about lat month, I saw a woman sold many little dogs when I hung out with my friends. The police station is near, and someone called to them. However, the police just asked her why she wanted to sell this little dogs and didn’t tell her it’s illegal. The police asked her to go any places to sell not stay here. When I read this report, I am so surprised. Is it possible that the policemen do not know this law or this enactment does not execute? If the answer is the last one, I think it’s really for show.
The policemen do not want to handle this events, and they think it belongs to another departments. I am afraid of dogs. When I walked on my way home, the stray dog suddenly ran to me and barked at me. I was scared, and in the meanwhile, a police man who rode a motorcycle passed. I thought he would stop and helped me, but nothing was at all. Finally, an old man who passed helped me. Undergoing this event, I totally don’t think the police will want to handle these. Even though the law is pretty good due to its strict penalty, I consider the government should broadcast it actively and reinforce the ideas about animal rights. Maybe they can add another penalty for the police who do not practice it well. Stray dogs are a large problem, and everybody should strive for it. In the other hand, If you do not want to keep pets or regret it, what you should do? The government should establish more enactment which should be strict. Maybe the government could set the organization to handle the pets that their owners do not want and also need to spread the idea of keeping second-hand pets.


3. The purpose of this group is to change the phenomenon of hurt or abandoned animals in Taiwan, and they aim to find solutions for the problem of pet overpopulation through educational activities, adoption efforts and outreach programs. The people of this group are volunteers. They take care of these animals, and spend much time on them. They help these animals to find another suitable places for those through this website.

This book is published recently. My friend who likes animals very much commends this book to me. The cover of the book is very cute. When you see this cover, maybe many of you will want to keep a dog because it looks so cute. I remember that the movie, “Good-bye Quill”, released. Many people kept them after they saw this movie, but they didn’t think if they had much time to accompany them. I don’t think this kind of movie or book is suitable for publishing in Taiwan. Many people just want to have a “cute pet” not “real pet”, so they don’t think more before buying. They regret keeping pets; they have no idea to find another place for them or no one will be willing to keep them, so that the only way is to abandon them on streets in Taiwan. I do hope those people who want to keep pets should be responsible for them, and treat them kindly. If you really don’t want them, please find another home for them instead of abandoning.

Cheating Question 3

I saw the news before. An employee who was a manage in a chain of store was caught due to stealing money privately. He was not fired. The boss wanted him to tell every employee why he did and even told to the other stores. Finally, he regretted it and appreciated his boss, so he worked hard than before. The accomplishment of the store which he managed was outstanding after that event. Maybe we could ask the person who is caught to tell students why he/she wants to cheat. I think it’s a good way. The person can be given a second chance and also a warning for every student. Maybe at first, a person who wants to cheat thinks the result before he/she does. Because the punishment is more impressing.

Plagiarism : Agree or Disagree

I agree with this punishment. I think it’s another way to give students a chance instead of being kicked out at first time. If I were that person, I would be forgiven and be given a second chance. People are not perfect. Everyone is likely to mistake, and maybe it is not in cheating but in other sections. At the first time, they mistake, but they admit their wrong behavior and are willing to mend their ways. We should give them a chance. In the other hand, they have to be given severe punishment such as “being kicked out” if they do that again. Anyway, I consider the person who mistakes twice must think he/she should be “lucky” person, and he/ she doesn’t learn the lesson, so we don’t forgive him/her again.

Cheating Question 2

I think the punishment of Taiwan is impossible to carry out as same as the punishment of America. If the schools do that, many parents may protest against this policy. To avoid this situation, the Taiwan’s schools do not want to do that. I am not sure what types of the punishment are implemented. I consider it depends on the teachers. As usual, if you are caught, you will be failed and also get zero. Next semester, you should take this course again.


For some students, they don’t want to do that because it wastes time taking this course twice. For others, maybe they think they will be “luck”, so they are willing to take the risk in order to get good grade. No matter how severe punishment the schools implement, some people still are willing to take the risk.

A second chance or not

I think I will give them a second chance. If they find they surely do that, all they should do is rewrite these articles and do not do that in the future. In fact, I consider rewriting is not very important. The important thing is that don’t do that again. In my opinion, it means you learn this lesson and you are responsible for your behavior. If they do not change their attitude, getting severe punishment is no use.

Rainbow

I see this word, and I think of two stories and one person.
In the Old Testament, God was so angry at sins of men that He made the flood destroy everyone on the planet. Before He wanted to do that, He decided to spare a man named Noah as well as his family. In this accident, “rainbow” means the promise between God and Noah.

On the other side, a legend occurred in Ireland. There is a leprechaun who hides a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, so that someone says if you can find rainbow’s end, you will be a lucky, wealthy person.

And the person is Connie Talbot. She sings a song named over the Rainbow. She is so cute, and she is a seven-year-old girl, but she does sing it very well.

In the east, we seldom talk about the symbol of the rainbow. Referring to the rainbow is in the science, proverbs of Taiwan’s weather or religion. In religion, they think the colors of rainbow have an effect on human beings because different colors have different functions. It can tune our energy and thus rebalance the physical body. And in the weather, if you see uncompleted rainbow, it means the typhoon is near, and it’s coming soon.

Plagiarism Question 1 and 2

1.The penalty for students caught plagiarizing at Stanford University:
<1>. At the first time, the penalty of the students is one-quarter's suspension and 40 hours of community service.
<2>. If the student is in his/her final quarter of enrollment the standard practice is to convert the one-quarter suspension into a two-quarter delay in the conferral of the degree.
<3>. Once a case is pending, the instructors are advised until it is complete. Cheating Question 1

In Taiwan's education, we have big exams to attend the schools. Under this policy, the teachers of junior and senior school always give us many tests. I remembered how many tests we had in our schools days. We had at least two tests a day. Within a day, we had 12 tests which are the highest rate, but we just had eight classes a day. These days it was hard to survive because we would have the punishment if we got poor grades. We had one night to study, and obviously time was not enough for preparation. The schools, the cream schools, the teachers, the parents and even the students themselves all emphasize the grades. Most of them all fouse on the grades not the effort.


In junior high, ten or eleven students - I am not sure, cheated in my class. The reason they gave was the same. They were afraid that they got the poor grades. If they got this, they would be punished by teachers of school and cream school and parents in particular. In snior high, the reason they gave to me was they didn't want to do make-up tests because they were tired doing this, and they thought it just wasted their time and no use for them. They considered that the conntents of textbooks were not useful in the future. At that time, I totally agreed, but now I change my mind because I realize that it trains our brain to think and memorize. In the college, I have seen some people who take the course twice especially literature course cheated. I saw the man who always wears a hat and elder than us in several classes last semester, and every time we had the tests, he always cheated. Although I don't know him, I really want to know why he wants to do that because he is not the first time.

Sunshine after Rain

It is a song’s name. The singer is Natasha Thomas who comes from Denmark. She is the first one who I bought CD with the money of my first part-time job. Today why do I think of this song — Sunshine after Rain? In this semester, my friends are all busier than before. They reveal that they are so tired on their blogs, and recently most of them feel uncomfortable because they have less time to rest. They have a lot of work to do. On average, there are two reports in a week. I know it is hard to survive. I like its name, and I hope my friends will pass this period smoothly, and it will be like it — Sunshine after Rain.

Taiwan wants more Tourists

Due to the bad economy, many people lost their jobs, and more and more companies are collapsed. Recently, the government will spread our tourism actively. I know this event, and I think it works in Asia because it costs much money on the advertising in Japan, Korea and China. I got the news about the advertising in England. In England, there is a post. On this, there is a man who dressed as one of the Eight Generals from Taiwanese folklore and it is paired with the catchy slogan “ Taiwan ….a surprise around every corner.”


When I read it, I recalled that our teacher asked us if the foreigners came to Taiwan, where did you want to go, and how did you introduce your country? At that time, we did not know how to introduce because we didn’t realize Taiwan. I think in the past, we would not agree with that slogan, but now I totally agree. In the summer/winter vacation, I will go to other places with my parents or friends, and every time we will feel how beautiful Taiwan is. I only want to say Taiwan is really a good place.

Mad about Memory

It is still an article in the magazine — Live ABC.
It says that why the memory between male and female is different.
The male always forget the date of marriage, birthday and some other special days, but the female always remember these days. Many couples fight because male forget the days again and again. Why do the men always forget the special days? It mentions that the women are good at long-term episodic memory such as events, wedding, accidents and everyday occurrences. And as for men, they are good at visuospatial memory such as tactical memories, travel directions and sports facts.


I read the article, and I felt surprised at that spot. I find my brain is similar with the man’s brain because I always forget the birthday of my friends or my parents. I usually write it down on the cell phone or notebook. I think it is worse that I am told why they celebrated, and the final one knows what’s going on.

The fastest Animals on Land, in the Sea and in the Air

It is cheetah.
It is peregrine falcon.

It is sailfish.

On Friday, I read the article in the magazine — Live ABC.
If there were animal Olympic Games, there would have to be three separate gold medals for spend. It separates three parts — on land, in the sea and in the air. On land, the fastest one must be cheetah. Its speed is 120 km/hr. In the air, the fastest one would be sailfish. Its speed is 110 km/hr. And in the air, the fastest one is peregrine falcon. Its speed is 320 km/hr.


I like the animal, cheetah because I think it is very cut, and its color is beautiful, but I do not like people kill them in order to make the cloth with its skin. The first time when I saw them is on the TV program — Discovery. At that time, I felt they were so cute. They run very very fast when they catch their spray. After that, I consider cheetah is the fastest animal in the world. In this article, I am so surprised that the fastest one in the world is peregrine, not cheetah.

Zombie

One of my friends called Martina always sings a song, and I ask her what is the name of that song, she told me ”zombie”. At that time, I just can’t figure out why she love that song so much, and I ask her that, she also told me the history of that song.
In 1993, March 20, the IRA attack Warrington (a shopping mall) in Cheshire, and there were two children were died in that attack. The song is to blame that violent and harm to those innocent people and children. The Cranberries is from Ireland, even though they try to independent, they still can’t stand the violent. The lyric is touching and taught us peace, and that is why she loves the song so much.

People who are with AIDS in China

This morning I read newspaper, and I saw this news about people who are with AIDS in China. I feel sorry because there are many people discriminate against those people with AIDS. These invaileds do not go to hosipital to cure disease, so it causes these invaileds die. In China, so many people do not want to have dinner with those with AIDS. In their concept, they think it is a terrible disease, but they do not know it infects with blood. Recently, China government popularizes this idea actively. I consider it is ironic because at the beginning they closed the news off and denied, and those with AIDS were isloated without treatment. If they receive the international aid at the beginning, maybe there are less people suffering from AIDS.
I really hope this similar events do not happen again!

The Weather

Recently, the weather is getting strange, sometime it is cold in the morning, but it's hot in the afternoon. The whole world can feel the weather is changing. More and more people have a cold, and me, I also got a cold twice a month, which was killing me. The winter is coming because in Hsinchu there is no autumn at all~ (the wind here is too strong, and you will feel just like in winter.) And I realized I should carry an overcoat with me no matter it’s hot or not, or I might get a cold again. Winter is coming, and I should go out and buy some new shirts and coats for myself! I love winter, but I love shopping better!

Re: Question 1

I think there are no good ways to slove this situation of sexual discrimination in Taiwan. I know the women's rights are better than other countries. Although the government sets some enactments to protect the women's right, I think these enactments do not work well. There are some unfair events still exist around us. For instance, the female police grabs the thief by her own, and the public media will broadcast this event, and the female police will be a heroine. If the male police does the same thing, I think the result will be totally different because we take it for granted. Why do some jobs fit for female or male not both? Maybe education can change this concept, and some teachers and parents also should change thier original concept. We are used to this situation because we are effected by our parents' and teachers' concepts, so maybe when we get into this problem, we do not consider it is unfair. I think we can change this idea through the education, so children can be taught how to respect women/girls and konw that men and women are equal. I consider that way is better than setting enactments.

Question 1

These situations still exist in Taiwan. It would happen not only in jobs but also in school or even in families. Although it happens in any situations around us, we don't have ability to change this concept. In old days, the boys were more important than girls. Boys had powerful strength, so they could help thier parents in farm. Above all, Taiwan always is the patriarchy society. Parents in old days thought boys should support the families and controlled all condition, and girls should obey their fathers and husbands because they considered that girls were just appendages and the tool of bearing babies. In jobs, the reason why men earn much money than women at the beginning is that the men should take the responsibilities for supporting families. By reading historic storeis, we will find out that girls were trouble makers, and all bad things were girls' fault. Until now, we also hear the similar stories. For instance, when a couple are argue, or men have extramarital relations, most people usually think that must be the girls' fault, or girls don't take the responsibilties. From ancient times to the present, that's unfair.

Following the women rights rising, more and more women strive gor their rights. I think we only set new concept between boys and girls in education. It's a better method of changing than others.

Again

This week I caught a cold again. I thought I had better take time to do exercise more. This time it was more serious than first. I had headache and running nose. It seemed somethig wrong with my body. On Friday, I could sleep very well than usually, but I was sleepless due to headache. I hope this time I will be better soon. I hate catching a cold very much.

It's an interesting study. When we want to drink, most of us must choose icy drinks in summer and hot drinks in winter. According to this study, we are so friendly in winter, and we are so cold in summer. I don't think this idea before. I just know that the residents in warm areas such as Indo-China Peninsula are enthusiastic than those in chilly areas. In accordance with this theory, if we want to be the warm person, we can have warm drinks. Don't choose to have icy drinks because who wants to be the cold person?

Quensiton 4: about Maternity leave

In the article,“Maternity leave plan already stirring debate”, it is being proposed that women on maternity leave should receive compensation of NT$13,500 (US$422) for six months, and husbands also can receive the same money in order to join the childern grown-up processes.Many people think it's not sufficient because the cost of most families depends on fathers' salaries. If people follow this policy, they only can get less money than before. So if I were man, I would not give my job up.

Maybe it will work, but actually I don't think it helps families because it doesn't fit for the circumstances. Especially right now, the enconomy is worse, so who is willing to get less money instend of high salaries? I think no one wants to do that. In this bad economy, if I were the boss, I would not agree with that policy. I lose employees, and I must find another person to substitute his/her works. After several months, one year or even two year, he/she comes back, but what should the boss do? Kick the person who substitue the work off? By the way, the article doesn't mention that who offer the money they receive, boss or government?

Anyway, I think the goernment should set the machinery to help women find jobs. Maybe some people think it is not fair, but so far I think it is a good way between employees and employers, isn't it?

Woman buys yurt for Mongolian family

In Taiwan, we live richly than other countries. We always are protected by our parents, so we can't imagine this life. If we were in those countries, I think we would be very frustrated because we all take it for granted. Nowsdays most of us forget to cherish everything we have. We have no wars, and don't worry about food and living. Now all we should do is cherish our life, help those who need help and, above all, thank to our parents. We are so luck, aren't we?

It's so strange and interesting !!

Last night, I channeled surf. I didn't find the interesting program until I found this. It is so interesting. I never think someone teaches English in Taiwanese instead of Mandarin. This program is out of my imagination. We usually watch this program about teaching languages, and they usually speak Mandarin to explain, and that person who explains usually is Taiwanese. The hosts of this program are the Taiwanese and the foreginer, and they speak Taiwanese to explain the meaning of English words and phrases. Can you imagine a foreigner speaks Taiwanese to teach his native language? It is so strange and interesting, isn't it?

Catch a cold!

On Wednesday, I decided to see a doctor, but I didn't think of so many people waiting for.
wait..... wait...... still wait.......

I totally waited for an hour. I put up with crying, screaming of children.
It was awful. I also find the parents lost their patience, and some of them yelled to their children. In the clinic, the condition was tumultuous and disordered.
The next, when I wanted to get the medicine, it still took me much time.
All night, I thought my job was waiting.

Friends

In this holiday, I dated with my friends of senior high. We talked about our second year of university and late conditions. At first, I thought it would be a happy appointment, but we felt sad when we talked more and more because some of us didn't have a good time, and one of us was sick. She was told whether she was willing to operate if the report reveals bad condition. She had no idea, and we didn't know how to help her. This oppintment is like a dream to me. It is awful and unbelievable.

Oct. 10th

Yesterday most people had this day off. I took my sister to super market to buy some cookies, snack and drink. It was full of people, and it was hard to move. Meanwhile, I observed the faces of customers, and I found everyone was happy even though they had to wait for a long time if they wanted to pay the bill, and it was hard to move. Holiday would make people happy as if these events on the newspaper were not good, or the economy was bad. Why does the holidays make people happy? That's because everyone all has much stress, or people are tired of busy day?? I think both.

Busy Day

This week, we have Friday off due to Oct. 10th. I don't feel happier because there are no classes on Friday. Thursday in this week is a busy day. Thursday night I have a classes from 7.30 to 9.00, and after 9.00, I have to pick my sister up because she go home by train. It's so busy, but I'm happy. I haven't seen my sister for three weeks, and we all chatted with each other through msn or telephone, so I miss her so much. we borrowed so many books from the bookstore, and We talked all night. We talked about her university life, her classmates, roommates and so on. Although we slept at 3.00 am, we all felt very happy. I like this weekend because I feel I do many things meaningful.

How to learn English ? ?

This morning I watched a TV program. It talked about learning English. It shows that many students of university in Taiwan don't have courage to speak English, or they can't speak it very well. There are two reasons. One is that the vacabulary is not enough. Another is that they don't understand what the foreigners say. This information makes me recall that if we ask the foreigners how to learn English, they usually say listening to the radio such as ICRT or English songs, reading Englsh books and above all practicing. One day my friends whose English is not good tell me now they want to learn English, and what they should do? I tell them these methods and want them follow these, but they say "we don't understand what the lyrics or words mean at all, so it causes they feel frustrated instead of helping them learn English easily. From now on, I think if you want to learn languages, the best way is to move to the native country. Is it a good way for everybody? I'm not sure....

English Literature

Monday is going to come again. I don't like Monday because there is a course-English Literature. So far I had two classes, but I still have no idea to prepare it. Before studying literature, at first we must understand its history, but I'm not interested in it. It always takes me much time but always makes me feel frustrated. It's very difficult for me to remember its time, spots and especially its roles names, even though the events are very famous except that we often speak of the events in our life. So far I'm looking for some tips. It's a big challenge at this semester.

A Dream??

Lately I chatted with my friends on the internet. We talked about our dreams in our childhood. In elementary school, our chinese teacher asked us to write an article the topic of which was "what kind of jobs do you want to take?" At that time, we didn't know what the job needed actually. For example, I wanted to be a teacher, but I didn't know to be a teacher needed much patience and spent much time on students. Some of us just thought being a teacher could take many days off. Maybe now some of us have different dreams. Looking back, the dream of childhood seems just "a dream".

Do we study humanities?

I think the study of humanities is very important.
When we read literature, we have to understand what the characters think. For example, we will discuss why the main rloes do this or why the author writes these or not.
Through the literature, we will be trained to think deeply and analyse the condition easily. In my opinion, if you want to be a good business man/woman, you must understand humanity very well. You are good at humanity, and you will know how to earn much money from him/her. You have good concept of world, and you also can earn money, so I consider studying humanities are necessary.

bad day part 3

Because of typhoon, I took a day off.
I hated rainy day because I had to go to see a doctor.
When I got there, I was wet. I felt uncomfortable.
Seeing a doctor, I got a bad news.
My ankle isn't well, so I have to see a doctor again and take the medicine.
Oh....it's awful.
I hope it will be well by Thursday.

Bad Day PART 2

I had terrible time.
I could not go out.
I only stayed on bed.
At that time,my cellphone on the bookshelf rang several times, but I didn't want to pick it up.
Finally I picked it up because I thought maybe it was very important, but it caused my left leg bumped into my chair and desk.
I regreatted it.

Journal: Bad Day

On Thursday when I was playing badmiton, I twisted my ankle.
It was very bad because I just play half hour and another half hour I only stood there.
In the afternoon, we wasted much time waiting for lunch so that we were late for class.
At night, I went to see a doctor.
Oh.....it was really painful.
It was not my day.

Issue:Typhoon Jangmi

Jungmi is the strong typhoon. It brought heavy rain and strong wind. I hated it.
It caused many traffic accidents due to damaging our railway and roads and making trees fall down. There were many elementary schools destroyed by Jungmi. When I heard the news, I was worried about my young sister and friends who were not in Hsinchu because I did not comfirm whether they were safe or not. I hated this feeling. During this period, I was at home without electric power because of strong wind so that I could not watch TV 、read books、use computer and do anything except sleeping or being in a trance. It was very boring. I did not know what was going on. It lasted almost five hours. I had not a good time. I really hope typhoons do not come to Taiwan especially in my holidays.

Second Life

It is so cool for me!
In this ,I can creat my world I imagine .
I can do something without agreement of my parents.
For example, I do not have courage to be someone or go
some places in the real world but in ''Second Life''
it all will come true. Above all, I can experience different lives
as long as I want and have the right to arrange my life without limitation.
Anyway, in fact , as for me,it just belongs to imagine.
It is impossible in my life!!
